KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL) is the national flag carrier of the Netherlands and the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name. Founded in 1919, KLM flew its first scheduled flight in 1920, from London to Amsterdam. Just a few years later, in 1924, it pioneered intercontinental travel by initiating the first flight from Amsterdam to Batavia (now Jakarta, Indonesia).
In 2004, KLM merged with Air France to create the Air France-KLM group and became a prominent member of the SkyTeam alliance. Today, KLM operates from its global super-hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), serving over 160 destinations worldwide across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East.
KLM offers three distinct cabin classes on long-haul international flights: Economy Class, Premium Comfort Class, and World Business Class. Whether you are planning a tulip season trip, a Europe tour, or a business journey, KLM takes you there in comfort.
