Come to know Kuala Lumpur on an in-depth tour with a local guide who will share his knowledge of this city and its architectural gems. Hear stories of the city’s past and present as you drive past its famous landmarks including the Independence Square and the surrounding Moorish-style buildings. Gaze up at the stunning glass façade of Petronas Twin Towers, a true marvel of modern architecture. View the gate of the King’s palace whose architecture is a distinct blend of both Islamic and traditional Malay styles. Visit Central Market where you can browse colourful displays of textiles, pottery and jewellery. The market is also a great showcase for local painters, craftspeople and musicians.
Next make a stop at the spiritual Batu Caves, where every year over 1 million pilgrims journey to pay their respects to Lord Murugan. Deepen your exploration and continue with a visit to Selangor Pewter to learn about the intricate artistry that goes into each piece. Later, it’s off to batik workshop to witness how local artists create these masterpieces and make a final stop at a favourite local chocolate boutique for an opportunity to learn, sample and buy some of its finest products.
