ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Mulu
Arrive Mulu Airport and travel by longboat to Batu Bungan - a Penan settlement that has been continually inhabited since its inception. See how native communities live in harmony with the environment and here, you can interact with locals while they demonstrate their craft. Next, we head off to Clearwater Cave, one of the many limestone caves accessible by boat in the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is Mulu National Pak. Enjoy packed lunch amidst the tranquil setting before a boat ride to Long Litut where you will continue on a 3-hour trekking to Camp 5. Settle into your new surroundings. From the howl of the monkeys to the gentle chatter of the birds, listen to the active sounds of the rainforest around you.
Included meals: Lunch & dinner

Day 2: Mulu
Today will be our biggest trek yet. Rise early and trek up to Gunung Api to see the towering limestone rock formations, truly one of the most spectacular scenic wonders of the world. The formations within the park, called Pinnacles, are the creation of wind and water erosion over eons of time. Take a moment to reflect as you stand in awe of this iconic natural treasure. This national park is home to over 3,500 species of plants, 80 types of mammals and 270 bird species, giving you the chance to look out for Malayan sun bears, rhinoceros hornbills, wrinkle-lipped bats and so much more. Allow the sheer magnitude of the area to wash over you as you enjoy a packed lunch on the highlands, taking in the flourishing habitat around you. Then, make your way back down to the camp and unwind with a relaxing evening.
Included meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 3: Depart Mulu
Return to Long Litut on the final day of your jungle adventure. Pause for lunch at Clearwater Cave with a chance to swim in the clear waters of the spring. Later, journey by boat back to Mulu airport for your flight home.
Included meals: Breakfast & lunch
