Important Notes & Restrictions

  1. Accommodation and Reception:
    • Hotels in Xinjiang may not match the standards of major cities. Be prepared for simpler conditions.
    • Early check-ins are not guaranteed; luggage storage can be arranged.
    • The accommodation is based on local standards; upgrades are unavailable.
  2. Health Requirements:
    • Participants must be in good health and bring personal medications as needed. Tourists with serious medical conditions, disabilities, or pre-existing health issues are advised not to join.
  3. Age Restrictions:
    • Travelers over 75 years, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers are not allowed to join.
    • Minors under 18 and travelers over 65 must be accompanied by an adult and provide a signed safety declaration.
  4. Seasonal Restrictions:
    • The Duku Highway is open from June to October only. Closed in winter.
    • Optimal travel periods: June–mid-August (green grass in Kanas and Yili Grassland); mid-September–late September (golden autumn in Kanas).
  5. Scenic Regulations:
    • At certain scenic spots (e.g., Hemu Village), visitors must adhere to guidelines like staying on designated paths and refraining from smoking.
  6. Packing Tips:
    • Due to high UV exposure, bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.
    • Prepare for fluctuating weather conditions, especially in mountainous areas.
  7. Road Conditions:
    • Some roads (e.g., Duku Highway) are mountainous with narrow and winding paths; prone to motion sickness, so medication is recommended.
