Who provides the Chubb Travel Insurance cover?
Chubb Travel Protection is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad and has been especially designed to cater to travellers booking through Mayflower Holidays.
Who is Chubb?
Chubb is one of the world's largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance companies. It operates in 54 countries and territories.
How can I purchase Chubb Travel Protection?
Add Chubb Travel Protection during your flight or hotel booking on the Mayflower website. It is available as an Add-On in the booking flow.
Who can purchase Chubb Travel Insurance?
You must first be a customer of Mayflower Holidays Sdn. Bhd.
Age Limit
i. International Trip : Min 30 days old, no maximum age limit ii. Domestic Trip : Min 30 days old up to 80 years.
A child must be at least thirty (30) days old and not older than eighteen (18) years old at the time this insurance is applied for him/her.
You are only allowed to take-up "One Way Journey" insurance if You are a student going overseas for education or you are emigrating.
All journeys must also commence from Malaysia, and the policy must be purchased before the commencement of journey.
If I book a group flight, will everyone be covered?
Yes, as long as each traveller is listed in the booking and the correct number of insurance certificates is purchased for the group.
Can business travellers purchase this travel insurance?
Yes. Business travellers are eligible to purchase Chubb Travel Protection. Please check the plan benefits to confirm the coverage meets your needs.
What should I do if my contact or personal details change?
Contact Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad directly at their customer service line to update your policy details.
Where can I get more information about Chubb Travel Protection?
When does Chubb Travel Insurance coverage take effect?
Flight Cancellation cover begins immediately upon issuance of your Certificate of Insurance. Other coverages commence when you begin your journey. Please refer to your policy wording for full details.
What are the covers & benefits provided?
Benefits typically include flight cancellation, travel delay, baggage loss or delay, personal accident, medical expenses overseas, and emergency evacuation. Please check your specific plan for full details.
Is there an age limit to purchase Chubb Travel Protection?
Yes. Coverage is available for travellers up to a maximum age as stated in the plan details. Please review the eligibility criteria before purchasing.
Can I purchase additional benefits?

Am I covered for any pre-existing illness?

I am unable to travel due to hospitalization as a result from an accident 1 week prior to my departure date. Am I covered for the cancellation of my flight ticket?
You may be covered for trip cancellation if the hospitalisation occurs within the coverage period and meets the policy criteria. Please review your Certificate of Insurance or contact Chubb for guidance.
What are the major exclusions under this policy?
Common exclusions include pre-existing conditions, self-inflicted injuries, war, civil unrest, and participation in extreme sports. A full list of exclusions is in your policy wording.
Do I have to pay an excess if I make a claim?
Some benefits carry an excess (deductible). The excess amount for each benefit is stated in your Certificate of Insurance.
Is there any limits of cover based on trip duration?
The trip duration that will be covered for any journey are as follows:
i) Overseas Trip: The first one hundred and eighty-three (183) consecutive days of any Journey.
ii) Domestic Trip: the first thirty (30) consecutive days of any Journey.

Where can I get my full policy wording?
Your Certificate of Insurance and Policy Wording will be sent to your registered email address shortly after purchase. You can also download it from 'My Bookings' in your Mayflower account.
What should I do if I do not receive my Chubb Travel Insurance confirmation?
Check your spam or junk mail folder first. If the email is not there, log in to 'My Bookings' to retrieve the document, or contact [email protected].
May I cancel my policy?
You may cancel your policy within the free-look period stated in your policy wording for a full refund. Cancellations after that period are subject to Chubb's terms.

What shall I do if I need emergency assistance while travelling?
Contact the Chubb Assistance team at +603 7628 3703 (24 hours, 7 days a week). They can assist with emergency medical referrals, evacuation, and other emergency services.
What shall I do if I suffer an accident and are admitted to hospital?
Call the Chubb Assistance hotline at +603 7628 3703 immediately. Keep all medical reports, receipts, and hospital bills as you will need them to support a claim.

How do I make a claim?
Visit https://apac.myaccount.chubb.com/myaccount/my/default/default/default/en-MY to begin the claims process online. Alternatively, contact the Chubb claims team directly for guidance.
When must I inform Chubb of my claim?
You should notify Chubb of your claim as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 30 days after the incident, unless the policy states otherwise.
What documents are required to process a claim?
Required documents vary by claim type but typically include your Certificate of Insurance, completed claim form, proof of travel, original receipts, and relevant reports (police, medical, etc.).
How long does it take to process my claim?
Claims are generally processed within 14 working days of receiving all required documents. Complex claims may take longer.
How are claims paid?
Approved claims are paid by bank transfer to the account you provide on the claim form.
