No trip to the north of Vietnam is without a trip to Ha Long Bay. It's easy to see why - the bay is littered with more than a thousand limestone islands, dotted with wind- and wave-eroded grottos - a vision of ethereal beauty. Unsurprisingly, this extraordinary area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Jeju is easily South Korea's most popular holiday destination - with 178 flights departing to the island daily! It's known for a volcanic Mt. Hallasan commanding the island from the center, a 224-kilometer semi-tropical forested national park, a wild coastline dotted with waterfalls and the longest lava tube in the world. The ocean is never far away, so plunge into blue seas to view coral as colourful as the sunsets and dig into Jeju’s unique cuisine, including seafood caught by haeneyo (female free divers).

Rome’s great gladiatorial arena is the most thrilling of the city's ancient sights. With over 2000 years of history under its belt and 6 million visitors annually, it isn't surprising that the Colosseum was named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. In its prime, the oval amphitheatre was the largest theatre ever built and held over 60,000 spectators.

Without a doubt, the Tegalalang Rice Terrace is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Bali. Located on the cliffs of Ubud, Bali, this iconic agricultural landmark owes its terrace-like structure to a traditional Balinese irrigation system known as subak. A truly awe-inspiring sight, the beautiful green rice paddies stretch on for what seems like an eternity.

The Alhambra is an ancient palace, fortress and citadel located in Granada, Spain. It’s the only surviving palatine city (a royal territorial center) of the Islamic Golden Age and a remnant of the Nasrid Dynasty, the last Islamic kingdom in Western Europe. Its beauty has inspired countless stories and poetry - most notably Washington Irving's collection of short stories 'Tales of the Alhambra'.

Visitors flock to Jiufen Old Street because it encapsulates the best of Taiwan in one small package: rich history, atmospheric lanes and teahouses, breathtaking views, and distinctly Taiwanese snacks at every turn. It is said that the beloved Oscar-winning animated film 'Spirited Away' was inspired by the small cobbled-stone streets of Jiu Fen with its street vendors selling snacks. With an unmatched old town atmosphere and seaside flair, Jiufen (九份) is a must-see spot when visiting northern Taiwan.
