️ China is Now Visa-Free for Malaysians Until 2026! Here’s Your Essential Guide

Great news for the "cuti-cuti" crowd! If you’ve been dreaming of the ancient water towns of Wuzhen or the neon lights of Shanghai, your travel plans just got a lot easier. The visa-free policy for Malaysians entering China has officially been extended through December 31, 2026.

Whether you are a DIY explorer or prefer our curated tours, here is everything you need to know to breeze through immigration.

📋 Who is Eligible?

Malaysian citizens holding a standard passport can enter China without applying for a visa. This policy is designed to make short-term travel seamless for:

  • Sightseeing & Tourism

  • Business Meetings

  • Visiting Friends & Family

  • Transit

⏳ How Long Can You Stay?

Under the current 2026 extension, Malaysians can enjoy a stay of up to 30 days per entry.

Pro-Tip: If you are planning a "work-cation" or a long-haul exploration, just remember that the visa-free entry is for short-term stays. For anything longer than 30 days, you’ll still need to check in with the embassy for a regular visa.

🎒 The "Must-Have" Checklist for Immigration

Even though the visa is gone, the paperwork isn't quite extinct. To ensure a "smooth like butter" entry at the border, have these ready:

  • Passport Validity: Ensure your passport has at least 6 months of life left.

  • Return/Onward Ticket: Proof that you actually plan to come home (or head to your next destination).

  • Accommodation Proof: A printout of your hotel booking or an invitation letter if you're staying with a friend.

  • Digital Arrival Card: Complete the China Arrival Card via their online mini programs before you land to save time in the queue.
