Christmas is Coming! Here Are Top 10 Malls With The Best Christmas Decorations in Malaysia

13 Dec 2019

Ah, December. It’s finally here! While Malaysia will never experience winter, the malls don’t lie. The Christmas carols, fairy lights, Christmas trees and shops bursting with Christmas offers are everywhere. But with more than just sales on offer, these malls are hitting the headlines for their over the top Christmas decorations. And we love it!

If you’re in Malaysia and looking for the best Christmas decorations in town, then this guide is perfect for you.

Very few malls do decorations better than Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur introduces a different theme every year and this time, we are treated to a mindblowing intergalactic experience!

Held in collaboration with Disney, you will see this galactic Christmas decoration the moment you enter through the main entrance to the Centre Court. A huge replica of the Millennium Falcon takes center stage and at 40 feet in height and 30 feet in width, this replica has even made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Biggest Replica of the Millennium Falcon”!

There are also experiential pop-ups and photo booths of the hyperdrive tunnel and cockpit to give your photos that sprinkle of extra galactic dust. For the children, there are scheduled Star Wars Jedi experiences, and a meet and greet with famous Star Wars characters like C-3PO, R2-D2 and Stormtroopers, and life-size Sith Troopers along the Spanish Steps.

One thing is for sure: you can’t escape the Jedi experience when you come to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur!

If spaceships aren’t your thing, how about Santa’s Toyland?

Organised by Mid Valley Megamall and HSBC, this is another mall that splurges and brings out all the fun and riotous joy that comes with the Christmas season. If you are an HSBC Credit Cardholder, there are special redemption offers available for everything from Santa’s Advent Sleigh and Elves’ Sugar Machines to Christmas Mugs and Christmas Patchwork Pillows.

To get into the mood, Mid Valley Megamall also has plenty of activities and performances in store. Children can meet Santa Claus or witness a Festive Character Walkabout and Christmas Dancing Show. There are also traditional Christmas Carols and a brass band ensemble on 22 December showcasing classic Christmas songs.

Finally, Mid Valley Megamall is hosting a wide range of workshops that will let you create your own personalised gifts for this coming Christmas. Everything from learning to bake and decorate your Christmas cookies to learning how to make festive candles, Christmas ornaments, pastel artworks and jute bags.

3. The Gardens Mall - Christmas Dreaming

Want to see snow and polar bear minus the freezing temperature and dangers? Don’t forget to stop by The Gardens Mall after spending your day at Mid Valley Megamall! These two mega malls (pun intended) are located next to each other and also joined by a sky bridge, making it easy to hit two gorgeous malls in one visit!

Come to the Gardens for a frosty Christmas. Glistening chandeliers overhead, icicles erupting from the ground, and twinkling Christmas trees and polar bears all around. And if you’re lucky, you might even meet Santa & Ms Claus, the Wandering magician and the Snow Queen!
